Mary Harris is the Director of Business Development at PermitZIP, who works with general contractors, architects, real estate developers and business owners to assist them in getting the right engineer for their projects. After spending over 10 years as a data analyst for large companies, Mary took the opportunity to help start PermitZIP, an MEP consulting firm who focuses on small projects, in 2016. Being in a small business in the construction industry, she wears many hard hats besides business development including marketing, human resources, benefits, payroll, Revit designer, and many more. PermitZIP has seen tremendous growth and made the 2019 RVA 25, a list of Richmond's fastest growing companies.
Kenneth Shultz is the Co-Founder and Director of Engineering at PermitZIP. He graduated from VCU in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Minor in Mathematical and a Bachelor of Arts in Piano, Composition. He began his career as an engineer at Mason and Hangar where he helped design US Embassies. He started PermitZIP in 2015 after seeing a need for a focus on small projects in the built environment. In 2018, Shultz founded RoomTrotter out of a need for PermitZIP to have access to affordable 3D scans.
Scott Reed is the Co-Founder and Principal at Prologue Systems. Scott's expertise spans both sides of the industry aisle. And true to his philosophy of practical perfection, that training has been put to good use at Prologue. Scott is strategically focused on leveraging new and existing technologies to make his clients’ jobs easier, better, and more efficient. As long as there are inefficiencies in the built environment, Scott will be searching for ways to eliminate them.
